Pitt Street Singers

The Pitt Street Singers meet on the third Sunday of most months and for some feast days and contribute a range of music to worship, from simple chants, hymns and canons to more complex vocal works and cantatas. We have sung music by contemporary local composers such as Sally Whitwell, and our traditional repertoire ranges from Bach to Britten, from Purcell to Pärt (watch this space!). The choir has been running for many decades, and since 2015 has had a regular monthly presence in Sunday services, although COVID got in the way over the last two years. We rehearse at 8.30 on most third Sundays except in school holidays, with extra rehearsals for more difficult works.
